FAQ

What happens to the raw footage?

Once your film is finished, the raw material is deleted, unless you want to keep it. For a small fee we transfer all of it to you as a download.

Could our film be used to promote mitgegeben?

Only material you have approved ever appears in our promotion. We may ask to use a short part, and you decide each time. Without your yes, nothing is used.

Who is the film for?

For the person telling their story, and for the family who keeps it. Either can arrange it.

What if the person has never been on camera?

Most never have. It's a conversation, not a performance. We guide it, and people usually forget the camera within a few minutes.

Do we need to prepare anything?

No speeches. If you have photos, letters, or old footage, gather them. We agree on the themes before the filming day.

Can you make a film for someone who has already passed away?

Yes. From photographs, footage, letters, and the memories of those who knew them, we can still build a portrait.

How long until we receive the film?

After filming, it usually takes up to 2 weeks, provided all archive material has been supplied and you give prompt feedback on the first cut.

How is the film delivered?

The film is delivered digitally and made available for download.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes. 30% of the price is due before the first day of filming, the remainder after delivery of the finished film.
